Ascen- Matchwell's (and Your!) New Employer of Record
Over the coming weeks and months, Matchwell will be switching our Employer of Record services from People 2.0 to Ascen. As part of continually improving the Matchwell experience, we have made the switch to Ascen to provide you with a better user experience and clinician support.
What is Ascen?
Ascen is a back-office solutions provider that Matchwell has partnered with to service as the Employer of Record for our clinicians. As our Employer of Record, Ascen will handle payroll, tax withholdings, benefits, and other clinician support. Ascen has incredible customer service, a transparent and easy-to-use platform, and offers great benefits for our clinicians.
What does this mean for YOU?
Switching to using Ascen as our Employer of Record (EOR) will not change your assignments, shifts, or contracts! The main difference will be that your paycheck and benefits (if applicable) will now come from Ascen instead of People 2.0.
Please note: You will not need to complete another background check and/or drug screen ahead of this transition!
What Steps do you need to take?
You will receive an email from email@example.com with the subject line “Matchwell Inc. has invited you to Ascen”. This email will include a link to begin the onboarding process through Ascen.
Please note: To make sure your pay is not interrupted at all during this transition, you will need to complete the Ascen onboarding process ASAP.
Before clicking the link, you will need:
- A device with a camera
- Identification documents (Passport, Driver’s license, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, etc.)
- The name, email, and phone number of someone who can verify those documents for Section 2 of your I9
- This person can be anyone over the age of 18 you trust (roommate, spouse, family member, neighbor, etc.). If you do not have anyone who you believe can do this for you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be able to assist you.
- Direct Deposit information (bank account number, routing number, etc.)
Please note: The onboarding process should take about 10-15 minutes if you have the above items handy.
Will my payroll be affected by this transition? When will I get paid? What about benefits?
Your payroll will not be affected by this transition, as long as the onboarding process is completed in a timely manner. Your pay period will still be Sunday - Saturday and will be paid out the following Friday.
As part of the onboarding process, you will be provided with a handbook discussing the offered benefits in detail.
